In the heart of Rennes close to the station and a short walk from the centre, the Hotel Le Sevigne, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western, Rennes, France, offers warm, cosy rooms in a welcoming, easygoing style, an unpretentious base built so guests feel at home, with round-the-clock room service and a buffet breakfast. The central setting puts the old town and its shops, cafes, and squares within an easy walk, a practical place to settle in for a city break or a work trip. The calm rooms make a restful retreat. Rennes is the lively capital of Brittany, its old town a maze of leaning half-timbered houses in painted colours, anchored by the grand Parlement de Bretagne and the broad squares where the great Thursday market spreads out, with the medieval gates, the studenty cafes, and the green Thabor gardens close by. After dark the timbered lanes fill with the buzz of one of France's biggest student cities.
